What You Can Export

Every category of your data is exportable. No exceptions, no paywalls on export.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using SVEND, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We will notify active users by email before any material changes take effect, and you may close your account and export your data if you disagree with changes.

Description of Service

SVEND is a decision science workbench providing statistical analysis (200+ methods), design of experiments, statistical process control, Bayesian hypothesis tracking, root cause analysis, FMEA, value stream mapping, A3 reporting, Hoshin Kanri strategy deployment, and ISO 9001:2015 QMS tools.

The platform is designed for quality engineers, continuous improvement practitioners, and operations teams in regulated and non-regulated industries.

Account Responsibilities

• Accurate information — you must provide truthful account details and keep them current
• Password security — you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• Age requirement — you must be 18 or older to use the service
• Individual accounts — one person per account; team access is managed through organization features
• Notification — you agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

Data Ownership & Rights

You own all data you create, upload, or generate using SVEND. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. Specifically:

• No license grant to us — we do not use your data for training models, marketing, or any purpose other than delivering the service to you
• Full export, anytime — you can download a complete copy of all your data at any time, at no additional cost, in standard open formats (CSV, JSON, SVG)
• Deletion on request — request account deletion and all your data, including backups, will be permanently erased within 7 days
• No lock-in — there are no restrictions on exporting your data, regardless of your subscription tier or account status
• Portability — exported data uses standard formats that can be imported into other tools without transformation

For enterprise and team accounts, the organization administrator controls data access and export permissions for their members.

Data Security & Compliance

We take data security seriously. SVEND is built to meet the expectations of organizations operating under ISO 9001:2015 and similar quality management standards.

• Encryption at rest — sensitive data fields are encrypted with AES-128 (Fernet) before database storage, including conversations, analyses, uploaded files, and billing identifiers
• Encryption in transit — all connections use HTTPS with HSTS (2-year max-age, preload)
• Private infrastructure — SVEND runs on dedicated, self-hosted servers, not shared cloud instances
• Database isolation — PostgreSQL on localhost with no external database access
• Audit trail — all analyses, edits, and decisions are timestamped and attributable for ISO 9001 traceability requirements
• Password hashing — PBKDF2-SHA256 with 720,000 iterations
• Daily encrypted backups — AES-256 encrypted backups retained for 30 days
• No third-party analytics or tracking — we do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services

Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. Retention periods for operational data:

• Your content (projects, analyses, reports, files) — retained while your account is active; deleted within 7 days of account deletion
• QMS records (NCRs, audits, training records, management reviews) — retained while your account is active, exportable at any time for regulatory compliance
• Diagnostic logs — 30 days
• Usage analytics — 90 days, aggregated and anonymized
• Backups — 30 days after creation, then permanently deleted

You can request an immediate and complete data export at any point before or during account deletion to ensure you have a full record for compliance purposes.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to access other users' data or breach platform security
• Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the service
• Resell or redistribute access without written permission
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from other users' accounts

Violation of these terms may result in account suspension. We will provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to respond before permanent termination, except in cases of clear malicious activity.

Subscription & Billing

• Payment processing — all payments are handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Billing cycle — subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• No contracts — all plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment required.
• Pricing changes — we will provide at least 30 days written notice before any price changes take effect.
• Refunds — handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of a charge for review.
• Data after cancellation — your data remains available for export for 30 days after your subscription ends. After that period, it is permanently deleted.

Third-Party Services

SVEND uses a minimal set of external services:

• Stripe — payment processing only. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (account verification, service notices).
• Anthropic API — enterprise-tier AI features (opt-in only). Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services. Your data is never shared with or sold to third parties.

Service Availability

We work to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance. In the event of extended downtime or service discontinuation, we commit to providing at least 90 days notice and ensuring full data export is available throughout that period.

Limitation of Liability

SVEND is provided “as is.” Statistical analyses, AI-generated insights, and other outputs are tools to support your decision-making — not replacements for professional judgment. Always verify critical results independently.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. For material changes, we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If you disagree with any changes, you may export your data and close your account before the changes take effect.
