II — What Is Being Taught
The curriculum is a library of field protocols — the procedure an engineer follows on the plant floor, written as the claim under test, the test that would falsify it, the number that decides, and what the result licenses you to say. Every threshold carries a source marker graded as a standard, a national-lab program, practitioner literature, or vendor material. Knowing which kind of number you are holding is the competency being certified.
| Field protocol | Qualifies the holder to | Build |
|---|---|---|
| Compressed Air Leak Survey 3 cited sources |
Run a standalone compressed air leak survey, tag and price the findings, and verify the repairs landed | v1.3 · 5 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Compressed Air System Audit 13 cited sources |
Run a compressed air system assessment unaccompanied and sign the report | v1.11 · 7 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Industrial Water Assessment 9 cited sources |
Build a facility water balance, price water on all three of its costs, and judge a reuse or cooling proposal | v2.3 · 8 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Insulation Survey 5 cited sources |
Survey a mechanical insulation population, price the loss, and separate an energy case from a burn hazard | v1.4 · 6 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Motor Systems Assessment 6 cited sources |
Assess a motor-driven system, size the real opportunity, and defend a rewind-or-replace decision | v1.5 · 7 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Process Heating Assessment 4 cited sources |
Assess a fuel-fired heating process, sequence its losses, and judge a heat-recovery proposal | v1.3 · 6 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
| Steam Trap Survey 4 cited sources |
Survey a steam trap population, classify failures, and price the loss | v1.8 · 6 modules 80% to pass · 12 mo |
7 field protocols published. This table is read from the compiled method build, so it is what exists rather than what was advertised.
III — Certification Carries an Expiry
Each protocol states the pass mark and the renewal interval above, and both are part of the method rather than administrative decoration. A qualification that never expires stops describing what someone can currently do. Renewal exists because the standards move, the equipment moves, and a method carried once four years ago is not a method someone still holds.
IV — Students Who Pass Keep Half the Platform Price
A student who passes a SVEND program holds a lifetime 50% discount on their own SVEND subscription. Not a graduation-year promotion and not a trial — it stays with the person, through the job they take after the program and the one after that.
The reasoning is plain enough: someone who learned the method on this bench is the person most likely to bring it into a plant that has never seen it, and charging them full price for the privilege would be a strange way to thank them for it.
V — In Build, And Deliberately Longer
The platform is live and working: institutions, instructors, students, curriculum, and work marked by the software rather than by a form. What is not written yet is the curriculum itself.
That is the deeper investment. A program built here is not slides — each module names the tool the work is done in, carries its own dataset or simulation, declares what the student should read off the result, and stores proof that it computes before anyone is taught from it. Building that on a syllabus means writing the simulations and the standalone calculators the modules run on, and those come first.
Programs go on sale to institutions and training providers in March 2027. There is no application form and no waiting list — a form that collects addresses for a program with no start date is a way of looking busy, and this page would rather say the date and be held to it.
