I — Compatibility
Sylvac Bluetooth HID + SVEND
Sylvac instruments configured as Bluetooth HID keyboards use the input interface already accepted by the SVEND Gage R&R bench.
Interface compatible · Physical-device validation pending
COMPATIBLE INTERFACE / NOT YET HARDWARE-CERTIFIED
Sylvac documents HID as one of its Bluetooth profiles and states that HID measurements are transmitted as keystrokes from an external keyboard. That is the same contract SVEND uses for direct gage capture: a numeric value enters the focused row and Enter advances the run sheet.
II — Setup
- Select the instrument's HID Bluetooth profile and pair it with the inspection computer.
- Use an English (US) keyboard layout, as recommended by Sylvac, and verify decimal and negative values.
- Configure the transmitted suffix to advance the field where the instrument permits it.
- Issue a SVEND Gage R&R sheet and transmit a known reference value into the highlighted row.
- Check that tolerance mode does not append non-numeric judgment characters.
Why we can claim compatibility: both products document the same standard HID keyboard boundary; SVEND does not need a proprietary Sylvac protocol to receive that mode.
Why validation is still named: SVEND has not yet published a model-by-model hardware run covering pairing, locale, suffixes, tolerance mode, reconnect behavior, and sustained transmission.
